International Studies Mission Statement:
To Ensure high levels of learning for every student, everyday.

                                                Welcome to 6th grade!
This year will not only be a year of academic growth, but the year that students will prepare for the independence and responsibilities expected of junior high students.
     
​ Language Arts
 I will be implementing Arts and Letters for the development of reading, grammar and writing. This will consist of 4 Modules each having an essential question using core text/s, articles, videos, and art to build knowledge and comprehension.  

 Social Studies
Social Studies will focus on Early Civilizations, Classical Traditions, Major Religions, and Giant Empires, Expanding Zones of Exchange and Encounter 300 C.E.- 1000 C.E. and Global Interactions 1000 C.E.- 1500 C.E.

Kagan Structures will be integrated throughout each lesson to increase engagement and build a classroom of cooperative learners.
